Ewing wants to ban new data center construction

On September 22nd, the Ewing Township Council put forth Ordinance #26-27, which would prevent the construction of data centers within the township.
The council cited the massive energy and water requirements as a topic of concern around the construction of new centers, as well as wishing to “emphasizes protection of the Township’s character.”
This ordinance is still in the early stages, with another review of it happening next week on November 1st during a planning board review. Read the planned Ordinance here.
